According to BHS Band Director Eric Rettig, “We should be proud of the commitment of our young musicians who are trying to be excellent on something that takes so much time to really understand and play at a high level.”
“It is awesome that our students are willing to commit to participating in an audition where even after they have worked very hard, there is the potential they might not be able to earn a spot in one of the performing ensembles and feel great disappointment. We never know how good we are or can be if we don’t challenge ourselves against others with similar goals and work ethics.”
