BLINN BOARD TO DISCUSS CONSTRUCTION AT MEETING WEDNESDAY
The Blinn College board of trustees will discuss construction of the college’s new campus in Brazos County, when they meet Wednesday morning.
Trustees will look at authorizing Blinn president Mary Hensley to execute a “guaranteed maximum price” with Vaughn Construction for the college’s capital improvement project on Texas A&M’s RELLIS campus.
Back in May, Blinn and A&M reached an agreement to build its new Brazos County campus on a 15-acre tract being provided by A&M as part of its RELLIS Campus development in College Station.
The estimated cost of Blinn’s initial facility on the RELLIS campus is $24-to-31 million.
Trustees will also hear a presentation on the annual financial report for the period ending Aug. 31.
The board will meet at 10:30 a.m. in administration building at 802 Green Street.
