NAVASOTA WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER INTENTIONALLY GETTING IN HEAD-ON COLLISION
A Navasota woman was arrested on Friday after she admitted to intentionally getting in a head-on collision with another vehicle.
The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office was called to Paradise Way and Pioneer Trail in Navasota Friday morning around 8:30 a.m. in response to a car accident.
A man told deputies he and his girlfriend were on their way home when they saw 34-year-old Jacqulene Elanie Orozco, whom they say they knew, parked down the street. According to the police report, the man pulled his pick-up to the side of the road and stopped. Orozco then accelerated her car and hit them head-on.
The man and his girlfriend were not seriously injured. Orozco was treated at College Station Medical Center for a sprained ankle. While still at the hospital, authorities say she admitted to intentionally hitting the couple with her vehicle.
Orozco is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is being held at the Brazos County Detention Center on a $24,000 bond.
