BRENHAM FIRE CHIEF SAYS DRY GRASS, WINDS MAKE FOR FIRE DANGER
Today (Wednesday) is the first day of winter and while many consider it the state’s burn season, local fire officials are urging caution.
Brenham Fire Chief Ricky Boeker says dry grass and a drop in humidity is the perfection combination for a flash fire. While there has been recent rainfall that has softened the ground, dry grass and wind still creates conditions conducive to an out of control fire:
Chief Boeker will join Craig Montana during Community Corner on KWHI next Tuesday. Listeners can call in at 9:05 a.m. to have their fire safety questions answered.
