BRENHAM POLICE CHIEF OFFERS HOLIDAY SAFETY TIPS

  

Brenham Police Chief Craig Goodman is offering some safety tips to citizens this holiday season.

Goodman spoke with Craig Montana during this week’s Community Corner segment about the importance of safety during the busy holiday season.

Since many people travel during the holidays, Goodman says it is a good idea for people to ask a trusted person to keep an eye on their home if they are leaving for an extended period of time. Goodman also says never to announce travel plans on social media, as criminals could see the information and seize the opportunity to enter an unoccupied home.

Goodman also says that, while they have not had a problem with “bank jugging” in Brenham, citizens should be aware of it when travelling:

Goodman says people should remember to park in lighted areas, make sure their car is always locked, and always stay aware of their surroundings.
