SEALY CAR ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIVES OF TWO CHILDREN
A car accident in Sealy has claimed the lives of two children.
According to DPS, a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 36 and FM 331 was struck by an RV on the morning of December 17th. Four people in the car were transported from the accident by LifeFlight.
Greyson Harper, age 8, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Greysen Droddy, age 7, died at approximately 3 p.m. the same day. The driver of the car, Kasey Duff, sustained a leg fracture and internal injuries. The other passenger, Sheila Droddy, sustained a broken hip.
Sealy ISD issued the following statement on the accident:
“It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the passing of two of our students. Greysen Droddy, a second grade student, and Greyson Harper, a third grade student. This is such a sad time for our district. Our thoughts and prayers go out to both students’ families as well as any extended family, classmates and faculty affected by this tragedy.”
DPS is still investigating the accident, though no charges have been filed at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the families are asking to donate funds to the Sealy Police Department’s Blue Santa Program.
