BRENHAM MAIFEST SERENADE MOVED TO SIMON THEATER, SUNDAY

  

Sunday afternoon’s Maifest Serenade has been moved.

According to Maifest President Heather Thielemann, ater looking at the weather report, which calls for possible rain, and strong winds, the committee has decided to move the Serenade to the Simon Theater in downtown Brenham.

The Serenade will still begin at 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
In addition to the royalty being announced, other details about this year’s event will be unveiled including the themes of the 2017 Maifest courts and activities planned for Maifest weekend.

During the serenade, last year’s kings and queens will announce the identities of their successors. The 126th Junior Court includes Queen Ellie Brooke Van Dyke and King Austin David Cone. The 126th Senior Court includes Queens Madison LeAnn Tomachefsky and Hannah Elizabeth Damon and King Colson Charles Altman.

Maifest Association President, Dr. Heather Thielemann will serve as the master of ceremonies.
