PUBLIC HEARING TUESDAY ON WASHINGTON CO. ROAD STRIPING

  

A public hearing will be held during the Washington County commissioners meeting on Tuesday, concerning pavement striping in Precinct 2.

The commissioners will hold the hearing for the public to comment on a number of proposed pavement markings including:

  • Nicholson Lake Road, south of the Langhorn Road intersection
  • Indian Paintbrush Road, south of the Old Chappell Hill Road intersection
  • Mustang Road, west of Old Chappell Hill Road intersection

When the public hearing concludes, the commissioners will discuss and possibly act the placement of the pavement markings.

Also during the meeting:

The commissioners are expected to accept six public assistance sub-grants from the Texas Division of Emergency Management for road damages during the May 2016 storms.

The commissioners will consider proclaiming April 30th to May 7th as Soil and Water Stewardship Week in Washington County.

The commissions will discuss submitting a request to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts for Washington County’s portion of funds, due to unclaimed capital credits received by the Comptroller from electric cooperatives.

The Washington County Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse, chambers 103.

  1. except working on stripping pavement on these roads, why don’t they work on the pavement and road work on Highway 36 close to road 1948 where it was damaged by the floods on 2016.
    that needs to be fixed before they start some other work. Tired of the cones and barracks .

    1. Ma’am, that highway is the responsibility and obligation of TXDOT; Washington County’s hands are tied and our commissioners can’t order repairs to it.
