BURLESON COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE TONIGHT IN SOMERVILLE

  

The Burleson County Relay for Life is set for tonight (Friday) in Somerville.

The event includes the Survivors Lap, the Caregivers Lap, and the Luminaria Ceremony. In addition, each team taking part in the Burleson County Relay for Life will have a booth offering food and other items.

Relay for Life Coordinator Beth Ann Rhyne says events like this raise money for the American Cancer Society to use both nationally and locally.

“Relay For Life events like this are what will cure cancer in our lifetime, and provide funding for lodging assistance, travel assistance, and other services, as well as cancer research and education” said Rhyne.

The event kicks off at 7 p.m. tonight at the Somerville ISD track.
