LEE COUNTY FAIR KICKS OFF TONIGHT
The 18th annual Lee County Fair and Charcoal Challenge BBQ Cook-off is happening at the fairgrounds in Giddings today (Thursday) through Saturday.
Admissions to the fairgrounds today will be free. The Mighty Thomas Carnival will open tonight and KTEX’s Trailboss Troy will be on the Charcoal Challenge Stage from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
Senior Citizens Day is 10:00am to 4:00pm tomorrow (Friday) and admission will be free to seniors age 60 and older. The 2017 Lee County Fair Queen Pageant begins at 7:00pm. Musical entertainment for the night includes the James Soto Band, Bri Bagwell, Jon Wolfe, DJ Johnny Condel, and Black Cat Choir.
Saturday, is armed forces day.
Armed Forces Day will be celebrated with a special ceremony at the Veteran’s Memorial Park area and with a parade beginning at 10:00am. Musical entertainment continues Saturday with Tracy Lawrence headlining at 10:30pm on Main Stage.
