KWHI WELCOMES NEWS DIRECTOR
KWHI President and General Manager, Tom Whitehead is pleased to announce that Sarah Foster has joined the KWHI team as the station’s News Director.
Born and raised in Houston, Sarah moved to Brenham in 2012 where she attended Blinn College to complete core credits before commuting to University of Houston – Downtown for her bachelors in English – Creative Writing.
While at UHD, she interned with the school’s literary magazine, The Bayou Review, as a content editor.
Sarah took a position with a local newspaper where she began as a staff writer and photographer before stepping in to the role of News Editor. She has enjoyed the opportunity to follow major news cases and trials, as well as the local sports teams of the town.
In May of 2017, the opportunity to work with KWHI was presented, and Sarah is looking forward to being home in Brenham and working with KWHI staff.
Sarah hopes to one day obtain a Master’s degree, and has the dream to re-write the State-mandated textbooks for English and writing assigned to students in Texas.
Welcome to Brenham,Ms. Foster . Look forward to hearing your broadcast. I live in Brenham ; but due to my Wife being hospitalized in Austin since February, I drive back home everyday. It’s a lift in my spirits to hear a good local country radio format while back home.
