HOUSTON MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION IN FAYETTE COUNTY
Released in a Press Report this (Monday) morning, the Fayette County Sheriff, Keith Korenek, reports that on June 3, 2017 Deputy Michael Otten stopped a driver of a vehicle on State Highway 71 near Busy “B” for not having a front license plate.
Otten was able to detect the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
Upon a search of the vehicle the driver, 32 year old Joseph Wells of Houston, was found to be in possession of marijuana and marijuana wax.
Wells was then arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Wells was also found in possession of a firearm and was additionally charged with unlawfully carrying of a weapon.
Justice of the Peace Precinct One of Fayette County Scott Parker set bond at $1,500 for each charge.
