WASHINGTON COUNTY LADY LIONS DONATE TO COMMUNITY
In celebration of the Lions Club International’s 100th Birthday, the Washington County Lady Lions have
shown that there are lots of ways to celebrate a birthday by participating in four unique ways to celebrate.
Their recent service projects have honored what it means to be a Lion as well as the theme of “100” in respect to the Lions Club International’s Birthday.
They already donated 110 yards of fabric to the Nancy Carol Roberts library in a recent event.
The newest projects have included donating 118 pounds of potatoes to the Brenham Bread Partners as well as 118 pounds of dog and cat food to the Brenham Pet Adoption Center.
The club also joined with the other clubs in Brenham by putting new signs on the roads it into Brenham. These signs reflect the 100th Birthday of Lions Clubs.
PR Officer Linda Oberhoff stated, "The adoption center is currently in need of people to adopt- especially of cats, so the delivery of food is really needed."
