POLICE CHIEF ADRESSES ANIMAL SHELTER CONCERNS

Brenham Police Chief Craig Goodman says the City of Brenham is working on a response to questions and complaints raised by a local citizen.

Chief Goodman, who oversees the operation of the Brenham Animal Shelter, says the City is always open to suggestions and good ideas from the public.  He says the Animal Shelter has actually implemented some of the suggestions made by Carol Jensen, who raised questions about the Shelter’s operation at last week’s City Council meeting.

Goodman says the City must follow certain protocols in responding to complaints from citizens.  He says Ms. Jensen’s concerns are being addressed, and that a response from the City will be coming shortly.  After Jensen spoke to the Brenham City Council during the citizens’ comment portion of last week’s meeting, Mayor Milton Tate said the City would take her complaints seriously, including putting the subject on the agenda of a future Council Meeting.
