HOUSTON MAN RECEIVES 25 YEARS FOR ARMED ROBBERY

A Houston man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the armed robbery of a local convenience store in November of last year.   Christopher Deon Bazile, 34 of Houston plead guilty and was sentenced in District Court this week.  Bazile and two other men were arrested after a police chase for the armed robbery of Tootsie’s on South Market Street.  He was also sentenced to 10 years in prison for taking part in the riot at the Washington County Jail in June of this year.  Bazile also received a 2 year prison sentence for evading arrest.

In another case heard this week in District Court, Nicholas Royal Porter, 21 of Tomball plead guilty to murder without a plea bargain agreement.  His sentence will be determined by the court after a hearing on November 7th.   Porter was indicted by the Washington County Grand Jury in June for the shooting death of 31-year old Ernest Trevino Sr.  Trevino was discovered with a single gunshot wound to his chest at his home in the 6400 block of Hummingbird Lane in Brenham back on April 10th.  He died a short time later at a nearby hospital.

In other cases heard this week in District Court in which defendants plead guilty:

Nicholas David Estrada, 25 of Brenham, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.  He also had his probation adjudicated for two previous convictions for delivery of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail.

Frederick Erwin Watts, 23 of Brenham was sentenced to 42 months in prison for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Chad Christian Clift, 37 of College Station was sentenced to 8 years deferred adjudication probation for Unlawful Use of Criminal Instrument.  He must also pay a $3000 fine and abide by all sex offender conditions.

Xavier Roshaun Turner, 29 of Chappell Hill was sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation for possession of a controlled substance.  He must also spend 120 days in County Jail as a condition of his probation, pay a $1500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.  Turner also received the same sentence for Assault of a Public Servant.

Racheal Hakemack, 31 of Brenham, was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Controlled Substance.  She also has to pay a $750 fine and perform 120 hours of community service.

Darius Stephan Jones, 19 of Chappell Hill received 3 years deferred adjudication probation for Riot Participation.  He must also pay a $2500 fine and perform 300 hours community service.
