5 LIVING FORMER PRESIDENTS TO ATTEND HURRICANE RELIEF CONCERT
All five living former U.S. Presidents have agreed to appear at a hurricane relief concert later this month at Reed Arena in College Station.
The George H. W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation has announced that on Saturday, October 21st, Presidents Barrack Obama, George Bush 43rd, Bill Clinton, George Bush 41st, and Jimmy Carter will join a host of musicians for “Deep from the Heart – One America Appeal”. Featured artists will include Alabama, The Gatlin Brother, Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer “Soul Man” Sam Moore, gospel legend Yolanda Adams, season three winner of “The Voice” Cassadee Pope, and rising country artist Stephanie Quayle. Country star Lee Greenwood will be the emcee.
Tickets for the concert range from $30 to $600, and are on sale now at www.Bush41.org/deep-from-the-heart. Due to generous underwriters, 100% of the proceeds will go to designated hurricane recovery funds. Those include the Houston Harvey Relief Fund focusing on the greater Houston area; Rebuild Texas Fund, assisting hurricane-ravaged communities across the state; Flordia Disaster Fund; Juntos y Unidos por Puerto Rico, launched by First Lady Beatriz Rossello and a private sector coalition; and The Fund for the Virgin Islands.
The One America Appeal was launched September 7th when all five living former presidents aired a joint public service announcement and launched a website accepting donations at OneAmericaAppeal.org.
