KWHI HALLOWEEN PARTY ENTRY CARDS GOING OUT THIS WEEK

KWHI’s annual Halloween Party is just around the corner, and the entry cards are being passed out in Brenham and Burton schools this week.

With the best cache of prizes ever, KWHI’s annual Halloween Party has something for every age kid.  From a 32 inch flat screen TV and an Amazon Echo Dot, to a Fingerling Interactive Baby Monkey and a Shopkins Happy Places Grand Mansion, dozens of great prizes will be given away Halloween night.  Kids will be receiving the brightly colored entry cards in class this week at Brenham and Burton schools.  Once they are filled out, the cards should be returned to KWHI in person or by mail before Halloween night.

The “on the radio” Halloween Party starts at 7 o’clock Halloween night, with special spooky DJ’s calling kids and awarding prizes.  The tradition began over 50 years ago on KWHI as a way to get children safely home at an early hour on Halloween.  Today it continues to promote safe trick or treating for kids in Washington County.

29 sponsoring businesses help to make the Party a success, with some unique prizes like a dozen cookies a month for a year from Smitty’s Cafe’ and Bakery, and I-Tunes gift cards from T-3 Truck ’n Trailer.  KWHI is adding some prizes of its own, like tickets to Disney on Ice and the Texas Renaissance Festival.  Each entry card also contains valuable coupons like 25 free arcade points from Horseshoe Junction.  The Grand Prize is a 20 inch bicycle donated by Brenham Tire and Auto.

Anyone who doesn’t receive a Halloween Party entry card at school can pick one up at the KWHI business office at 223 East Main Street in downtown Brenham.
