COUNCIL TO INTERVIEW THREE FINALISTS FOR CITY MANAGER TODAY

  

Brenham City Council members will be interviewing the candidates for the City Managers position one final time Monday.  The five finalists have been narrowed down to three now.  Council members are expected to split up into small groups during the morning to talk with each candidate individually.  They will then reconvene in executive session Monday afternoon to discuss who will be their pick.  Terry Roberts, who has been the City Manager for the past 17 years, will be retiring in January.

The three finalists still in the running for the position are:

James Fisher

 

James Fisher who served as City Manager in Forney, Texas until September of this year. His employment contract with that city was terminated by their city council after a 1 year review of Fisher’s performance as City Manager.

Chris Heard

 

Chris Heard who served as City Administrator in Lebanon Missouri until July of this year.  Heard resigned from his position with the city of Lebanon in July after a dispute with the mayor over the division of authority there.

Caroline Miller

 

Carolyn Miller who is currently Assistant City Manager and Chief Financial Officer of the City of Brenham. Miller has been employed by the City of Brenham since 2005 serving in a number for financial positions.

 

Brenham City Council is expected to vote on their final selection during their meeting next Thursday.
