DANIEL McCARTHY RUNNING FOR DISTRICT 13 STATE HOUSE SEAT

  

Daniel McCarthy of Brenham is one of the 5 candidates running in the Republican Primary for the Texas District 13 House seat. Current State Representative Leighton Schubert has announced that he will not seek re-election.  McCarthy explains why he is running for the position:

McCarthy served in the Marine Corps for nine years, with two tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan.  He explains that the leadership skills he learned during that time would serve him well in the Texas legislature:
