COURTLAND SUTTON DECLARES FOR DRAFT
Former Brenham Cub and current SMU wide receiver Courtland Sutton has confirmed he will forego his senior season of eligibility and enter the 2018 NFL Draft.
Sutton, 6-4, 215 pound junior, is projected as possibly the first wide receiver to be selected in the draft.
This season, Sutton caught 68 passes for 1085 yard and 12 touchdowns.
In three full seasons, Sutton caught 195 passes for 3220 yards s and 31 touchdowns.
Sutton, who redshirted his freshman year, graduated this month.
While at Brenham, Sutton was a three-star Rivals.com, Scout.com and 247sport.com and ESPN.com recruit.
As a senior, Sutton was named first-team All-District as a tight end and second team as a safety. He was named first-team All-District as a safety during his junior campaign.
Sutton chose SMU over offers from BYU, Colorado and Rice.
Courtland is the son of Phelecia and Ryian Marshall.
