FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO THREE CALLS — NO FIRES

The Brenham Fire Department responded to a trio of calls Wednesday.

Just after 9:00 a.m., the department was called to a possible vehicle fire at 115 East Main.

At the scene, though, it was found that steam coming from under the hood was due to the engine overheating – not a fire.

Just after 11:30 Wednesday morning, fire fighters were sent to Schuenberg St. for an automatic alarm.

The department checked the house and determined the call 2qws due to a faulty detector.

Later, Wednesday, the department was called to an alarm at Brenham Elementary on West Bluebell Road.

An employee of the school district informed the department that the call was a false alarm.

BISD maintenance fixed the faulty detector.
