GIDDINGS’ FOOTBALL COACH CHRIS JONES LEAVING

Giddings High School is looking for a new head football coach.

Coach Chris Jones, who has headed the Buffaloes program for seven seasons, has resigned to take the head coaching post in Pecos in West Texas.

Jones compiled a 51-28 record in his seven seasons at the helm of the Buffaloes’ program.

His team was 5-6 this year—falling in the Bi-District round of the playoffs.  In 2016, Giddings was 11-3 and reached the State Quarterfinals.  In 2015 they were 12-0 before losing in the third round.
