PHILOSOPHER/ARTIST TO ADDRESS ‘LIFETIME LEARNING’
Brenham Lifetime Learning is offering a two-part lecture series in November.
Fernando Casas, PhD will address: “How Science and Art Interweave.”
The lectures will be held consecutive Sundays, February 11th and 18th at the Blinn College Student Center in Brenham.
The February 11 lecture is titled “Perspective: the Art and the Science of the Renaissance” and the second lecture will explore the topic of “Realism in Western Art: the Role of Science in Western Art.”
Dr. Casas, a philosopher and artist, is returning to Brenham to deliver this series of lectures. Casas is an award winning artist and lecturer, with close affiliations with Rice University and the Women’s Institute of Houston.
The registration fee for both lectures is $40. The deadline for registration is Monday, February 5. The lectures begin each day at 3 p.m.
