A candidate for the U.S. Senate is coming to Brenham.

Congressman Beto O'Rourke

Democratic candidate Beto O’Rourke will be appearing at the Blinn College Student Center, Sunday, February 11th.

O’Rourke, a U.S. Congressman from El Paso, is running in the March Primary against Edward Kimbrough and Sema Hernandez.  The winner will run for the seat currently held by Republican Senator Ted Cruz.

O’Rourke will be stopping in Brenham as he makes his way across the state, in his words, “to visit every county in Texas.”

Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. Doughnuts, pastries, fruit, coffee, and juice will be served.  After his speech, O’Rourke will be available on an informal basis to visit and take photographs.

  1. What a great opportunity for responsible voters. I understand this candidate takes zero dollars from PACS! That must be a first. Qualified and beholding to NO SPECIAL INTEREST groups. An actual politician for the people. This avid voter plans to check him out.
