80 UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX LEADS JANUARY BUILDING PERMITS

  

A new $6.5 million Multi-Family Apartment Complex at 800 Hosea Street led the Brenham Building Permits in January.  The new 80 unit complex is part of a partnership between the Brenham Housing Authority and HuntJon LLC, who developed the adjacent Belle Towers complex.

Another large project in the January permits is the new Strand Associates Engineers office going in at 1906 Niebuhr Street.  That project is expected to cost $2.3 million.

January’s totals were well above lasts year with almost $10.3 million in projects being permitted.  That compares to $7 million in permits during the same month last year.

There was one new single family residence being built in the January permit.  That was for a home being constructed at 1501 Victoria Street.
