LOCAL GO-TEXAN TEAMS COMPETE IN KATY

  

The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo held its Area Go Texan Committees Contest recently at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy.

The Area Go Texan Committees come from 68 Counties throughout Texas.

A number of teams from Washington County took part.

Lenny Krause & Keith Krause took second in the Dominos Tournament.

Mark Mazzella & Joe Vara placed 6th in the Senior Ranch Sorting Event.

Other participants from Washington County included:

Junior Ranch Sorting Team: Ninam Faske, Joy Faske and Lillian Faske

Washer Pitching:  Stephen Scheffer & Jeff Schwartz

Horseshoe Pitching: Cliff Jankowski and Chris Porche

These committees promote the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo in surrounding counties through a variety of activities.  Each county focuses on increasing ticket sales, providing Scholarships and Show participation from its areas.  A Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Go Texan scholarship is awarded in each Go Texan county.
