VIDEO – JUMP ROPE FOR HEART KICKOFF AT ALTON ELEMENTARY
Students at Alton Elementary School kicked off their Jump Rope for Heart event with a fun ceremony this (Friday) morning. They also got to honor one of their own, Nate Peterson, as a Heart Hero. Nate is the son of Alton Elementary Assistant Principal Rachel Peterson and a kindergarten student at Alton. When he was 4 months old, Nate was diagnosed with pulmonary atresia. He underwent major heart surgery at age 4 to correct his heart defect and is a healthy, normal child now. He was honored with a Heart Hero cape during the ceremony.
