DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR ‘EGG ART WALK’
Thursday is the deadline to enter this year’s Spring Egg Art Walk in downtown Brenham.
Community members and local businesses are urged to create individual giant eggs that will decorate the streets of downtown Brenham.
The Spring Egg Art Walk is free to enter for all ages and artistic abilities.
School classes, clubs, Scout troops and individuals are all urged to take part.
All entries are eligible to win cash prizes between $100 and $200.
Categories include: Overall Best Spring Theme; Most Votes; Judge’s Award; Most Original and Most Artistic – with prizes in both adult and youth categories.
Eggs will be up for auction this year, with the creators getting 50% of the auction money on top of any prize money.
The blank eggs can be picked up next Monday and Tuesday (March 5-6). Completed eggs are due Friday, March 23rd. Voting will take place March 24-thru-April 8.
