TWO ARRESTED ON WARRANTS OVER THE WEEKEND

Brenham Police arrested two people over the weekend on warrants. On Friday at 2:30pm, Officer Mickey Gressman responded to the 500 block of W Jefferson St. to assist another officer with the arrest of a wanted subject, Kirbie Rogers, 18 of Brenham. Rogers was located and arrested for an active warrant for evading arrest out of Washington County.

On Saturday at 6:30pm, Corporal Ashley Burns responded to the 1000 block of South Market Street in reference to a wanted subject. Upon arrival, Brandy Russell, 28 of Brenham was located and taken into custody. Marijuana was also located in Russell’s property. Russell was charged with Possession of Marijuana and a warrant out of Washington County.
One person was also arrested for DWI over the weekend. Sunday at 3:30 AM, Corporal Jose Perez, responded to the 100 block of US HWY 290 W to assist on a traffic stop. The driver failed the field sobriety test and was determined unable to safely operate a motor vehicle on a public roadway. The driver was identified as Juan Mata Duran, 18 of Brenham. Mata was place in custody for Driving While Intoxicated and was transported to the Washington County Jail.
