CHAPPELL HILL MUSEUM HOSTING SEVERAL WEEKEND EVENTS
The community of Chappell Hill will be hosting numerous arts and entertainment opportunities at the Chappell Hill Historical Society’s Museum over the coming weeks.
The Historical Society has two events underway this weekend at the Museum: There is a new exhibit on the Wildflower photography of TJ Jones, featuring the “Wildflowers of Washington County” which will continue through April 22nd.
Jones will be holding 2 classes in wildflower photography – tomorrow (Saturday) and next Saturday at 8:30 AM at the museum, followed by the outing, then a return to the classroom for lunch and photo critique.
The cost is $125.00 and includes lunch. Anyone interested in this class, please contact Christine at the museum by calling 836-6033.
The museum is also hosting the Shimmer Flute Choir from Houston this Sunday, at 3:00 p.m.
They will be performing a variety of pieces of lively music for flute, piccolo, alto and bass flutes. Suggested donation $5.00.
Their repertoire includes many Irish tunes, Renaissance music, American folk classics, children's favorites, and classical literature.
The Chappell Hill Historical Society’s Museum Director, Christine Hoffman, is a member of group and will be performing as well during Sunday’s performance.
