THURMAN TO BE INDUCTED INTO RODEO HALL

A Caldwell man is to be inducted into the Texas Cowboy Rodeo Hall of Fame.
85-year old Douglas Thurman will be honored as a 'Trailblazer'.
Thurman began his twenty year professional career in 1952 at the age of 18, specializing in 'bareback' and 'saddle bronc' riding.
He competed in major rodeos throughout the country and qualified for the 1961 Dallas Finals and 1964 Los Angeles Finals.
Thurman said he's happy for his achievement, and believes he is very lucky to get here.
Thurman and his wife Gail live in Caldwell. He said he'll be very nostalgic when his name is called on induction night.
Thurman will officially be inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame on April 7th in Fort Worth.
