THURSDAY ‘NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER’ DAY

  

Washington County will be observing Thursday’s National Day of Prayer.

People of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to gather a noon, Thursday at the Courthouse in downtown Brenham and at Providence Baptist Church in Chappell Hill.

National Day of Prayer was created in 1952.  A resolution in 1988, signed by then President Ronald Reagan, designated the first Thursday in May as a day for national prayer.
