EARLY VOTING IN DISTRICT 13 SPECIAL RACE ENDS TODAY

  

Monday was another busy day for Early Voting for the May 5th Special Election for District 13 State Representative.

According to Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel, 275 early ballots were cast yesterday (Friday), bringing the total to 1,372 votes cast.

Today (Tuesday) is the final day Early Voting in the Special Election.  There are 3 candidates on the ballot, Democrat: Cecil Webster and Republicans: Ben Lehman and Jill Wolfskill.   The winner will fill the post until the end of 2018.

Hours today are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Courthouse Annex, at 100 South Park St.

Election Day is next Saturday.  Only four locations will be open for voting from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Precinct 1 will vote at the Event Center at the Washington County Fairgrounds on East Blue Bell Road.

Precinct 2 will vote at the VFW Hall on East Tom Green.

Precinct 3 will vote at the Nancy Carol Library Library on MLK Jr. Parkway.

And Precinct 4 will vote at the Blinn College Student Center.

Leman and Wolfskill are also involved in a separate runoff election, later next month, to decide the Republican candidate to face Webster in November’s general election.
