THREE ARRESTED ON WARRANTS

  

Three people are in custody after their arrests over the weekend on outstanding warrants.

Friday, at 1:00 p.m., Corporal Jose Perez, responded to the 500 block of West Jefferson in reference to 30-year old Torrance Brooks of Brenham, who was taken into custody for an active warrant for Cruelty to Animals.

Brooks was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then, Friday at 11:15 p.m., Officer Eddie Martinez conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of South Chappell Hill St.

41-year old Marilee Belle Brummitt of Brenham, a passenger in the vehicle, had an outstanding warrant out of Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Brummitt was taken into custody for the warrant.

Then, Saturday night, at 10:45, Corporal Jonathan Phipps, initiated a traffic stop on East Tom Green St. near the intersection of South Chappell Hill St. Further investigation revealed the driver, 21-year old Adrian Gallegos of Brenham, had an active warrant out of the city of Brenham.

Gallegos was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
