CURRENT AND FORMER GRIMES CO. JAILERS ARRESTED
A current and a former Grimes County Jailer have been arrested in connection with the release of confidential information pertaining to an informant.
24 year old Kaylee Elizabeth Dover of Navasota, a jailer for the Grimes County Sheriff’s Department, was arrested Thursday for the offense of misusing official information, a third degree felony. Also arrested and charged with the same offense was Dover’s roommate, 25 year old Chelsea Ann Bailey of Plantersville, a former jailer for the Sheriff’s Department. The charges stem from information that was leaked pertaining to a tactical operation by the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office and the Montgomery County Auto Theft Taskforce. The identity of an informant, along with law enforcement sensitive information, was provided to a suspect of the investigation.
If convicted, Dover and Bailey could be punished by 2 to 10 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000.

As a citizen I would not think that this higher level of investigative information shoul even be shared with the jailers. What is the benifit? The jailers are probably not receiving equal pay or even received equal training as those that conduct this leval of investigations. The level of management that intentionally or unintentionally shared this information with the jailers should be named and reprimanded.
Truly not good for developing informants in the drug trade. If the breech was intentional i hope they get heavy time
