EARLY VOTING BEGINS IN DIST. 13 REPUBLICAN RUNOFF

  

Early voting begins today (Monday) in the Republican Party primary runoff.

Jill Wolfskill and Ben Leman are in a runoff for the party’s nomination for the Texas House District 13 seat race in November against Democrat Cecil Webster.

Neither got a majority in the primary, but were the top vote-getters in a field of five candidates.

Leman and Wolfskill are also scheduled for a second runoff —for the unexpired term of Leighton Schubert, who resigned in February, however both candidates have agreed that whoever loses the Republican runoff will bow out of the District race.

The winner will serve until the Legislature convenes next January.

Early voting takes place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day in the Washington County Courthouse annex.ea
