SEARS IN BRENHAM SAFE FROM CLOSING STORES ACROSS NATION

  

The local Sears store will not be closing, like many other stores across the country.

Sears Hometown Store in Brenham will remain in business despite the news of another 72 stores closing across the nation.

According to Kathleen Chaney, manager and new owner in Brenham, the location is unaffected by the news of national chains closing their doors, since Sears Hometown Store in Brenham operates locally.

The national company said it plans to disclose the locations of all store closures by the end of Thursday.
