MAY BUILDING PERMITS INCLUDE MAJOR WORK AT KRAUSE ELEMENTARY

  

Three-million dollars’ worth of improvements at Krause Elementary School has boosted the building permits issued in Brenham for June to over six-million dollars.

The permit for the remodeling and renovations to the campus on East Stone Street totals, $3,100,000.

For the month, 24 permits were issued for a total of, $6,654,016, compared to 2017, when 40 permits totaled $25.5-million.  Last May’s permits included a $21.8-million permit for student housing at Blinn College.

A total of 116 permits have been issued in 2018, for a total of $22,743,170—compared to last year’s value of $35.6-million.

A permit for $175,000 was issued to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for interior remodeling to the Knights of Columbus Hall on South Austin St.

Also issued last month was a permit worth $400,000 for the foundation for a new building for Kountry Boys’ Sausage on Longwood Drive.

Three permits were issued for new residences, including: 701 Scott Drive for $742,000; 1807 Basin Trail for $132,540; and, 2023 Arable Court for $90,600.
