RESTROOM PROJECT AT FIREMAN’S PARK TO RESUME

  

A new contractor has taken over the building and installation of new bathrooms at Fireman’s Park.

Thielemann Construction will take control of the project, after being selected by a surety company following the original contractor declaring default.  Production halted early under the previous contractor, GCP Contractors.

According to City Manager James Fisher, all issues with the bonding company have been resolved, and he hopes to meet with the new contractor to discuss plans moving forward.

Thielemann Construction has already begun its work, contacting the appropriate vendors for supplies and clearing excess dirt from the site.

Fisher says he plans to have the restrooms completed by early fall.
