AIRPORT RUNWAY REPAIR, MASTER PLAN SCHEDULED FOR COMPLETION IN 2019

Brenham Municipal Airport’s runway and master plan projects are scheduled to be completed by 2019.

At last (Monday) night’s Airport Advisory Board meeting, it was revealed that engineering for the runway repair project will be finished by the end of 2018, but the repair won’t take place until next year.  The airport also expects to have its master plan completed next year.

Both the runway repair and master plan are funded 90 to 10 percent, federal to state.

The Board also approved revisions to the T-Hangar lease agreement, which will allow the noncommercial assembly of hobby aircraft.

A request to host ADS-B sensors at the airport was also heard. The Board asked that a monthly fee be paid from the provider in order to accommodate the system.  Previously, the system would have been hosted at no cost.
