FIRE DESTROYS SNOOK CONVENIENCE STORE AFTER ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
A Snook convenience store was destroyed by a fire early this (Wednesday) morning, after an attempted burglary.
Burleson County authorities report that, just before 4:30 a.m., someone tried to back their truck into the Snook Drive-In, off of County Road 265 and FM 2155. When first responders arrived, the business and the truck were immersed in flames. It is undetermined whether the building or the truck caught fire first.
The Snook Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the Somerville Fire Department and Beaver Creek VFD, responded to the scene. The fire was still smoking, as of 7:30 a.m.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the attempted burglary. No arrests have been made, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
