PAIR OF WARRANT ARRESTS MADE IN WASHINGTON COUNTY

  

A pair of men in Washington County were arrested on outstanding warrants Monday morning.

Monday, after 9:15 a.m., Officer Eddie Martinez was informed of a wanted subject in the 200 block of US Highway 290 West.  Police identified and arrested 60-year-old Emmitt Charles Lewis Jr., of Brenham, who had an outstanding warrant.  Lewis was taken to the Washington County jail.

Also Monday, around 10:15 a.m., Officers Sierra Newell and Marley Mayo were dispatched to the 800 Block of Gayhill Street, to reports of an assault.  Further investigation revealed that suspect, 21-year-old Allen Daniels of Burton, had an active warrant out of Grimes County. Allen was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County jail.
