TWO DRUG ARRESTS IN FAYETTE CO. ON FOURTH OF JULY
Fayette County authorities performed two drug busts over the Fourth of July.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, Deputy Joe Gonzales stopped a driver in the early morning on I-10, near mile marker 664, for speeding. An odor of marijuana was detected, and search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of marijuana and a second controlled substance, over $12,000 in cash, and a 9mm handgun.
Police arrested the driver, 20-year-old Dylan Dahl, and passenger, 19-year-old Miles Dahl, both of Mississippi, and seized the cash. Dylan was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, Money Laundering, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, while Miles was charged with the Possession of Marijuana. Bonds have been set at a total of $5,500.
Also on Wednesday, Deputy Darrell Maze came into contact with a disabled motorist, while patrolling State Highway 71 near Plum. The occupants of the vehicle, 39-year-old Edward Delossantos, and 35-year-old Anna Aguilar, both of Austin, were found to not have a driver’s license.
Search of the vehicle resulted in methamphetamines being located in the vehicle. Delossantos and Aguilar were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Bonds were set for $15,000.
