VEHICLES FIRED UPON NORTH OF BRENHAM

Washington County Sheriff’s investigators are searching for whoever fired a firearm or similar device at several vehicles Thursday night, north of Brenham.

According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, four vehicles were south bound on Highway 36 North, in front of the Oak Hill Acres sub-division around 10:30, Thursday night.

One of the vehicles, with grandparents and children headed for Galveston was struck in the passenger-side window by a firearm or similar type of device.  The window was shattered but not penetrated.  The vehicles pulled over at a nearby convenience store.  One of the vehicles went back to the area, only to have its window shattered by another shot.

The Washington County Sheriff’s office canvassed the area Thursday evening and again Friday morning.  The Sheriff's office has received additional reports of damage dealt to vehicles, which were filed Saturday morning.

Their investigation continues.  No one was injured in the incident.

  1. For each shot that has been fired, this person needs to be charged and convicted with attempted first degree murder. If someone dies it must then be first first degree murder and the shooter must get the death penalty.

  2. Ok, just read this. Wow! Last month, same exact place, my husband and I were struck. At first we thought a rock, but no one was around us at all. We pulled over at the gas station to find a deep dent in the side door. A insuarance adjuster told us he thought it was a bullet. We never reported it, Bc we were just unsure. Now seeing this, no doubt in my mind our insurance adjuster was right. The dent is still in our truck. This is no way a pellet gun. We will def head to the sheriffs office today.
