THIRD SUSPECT ARRESTED IN AUSTIN JEWELER’S DEATH

  

A third suspect has been arrested in a case of alleged murder-for-hire in Travis County, which reportedly involved a College Station couple.

21-year old Johnny Roman Leon III of College Station was arrested at his home Wednesday in the shooting death of Austin jeweler Ted Shaughnessy back on March 2^nd.

Authorities say it’s a “distinct possibility” Leon is the shooter in the case.

Nicholas Shaughnessy and his wife Jaclyn Edison have been arrested and charged in the death.  Nicholas is the son of the victim.

Authorities believed they conspired to kill Ted Schaughnessy for a two-million dollar insurance policy.

All three are charged with solicitation of capital murder.

Nicholas Shaughnessy remains jailed en lieu of $3-million bond.  Edison was freed after her bond was reduced from $1-milloin to $250,000.
