INDUSTRY VFD CELEBRATING 68 YEARS WITH FUNDRAISER THIS WEEKEND
The Industry Volunteer Fire Department is holding its 68th annual fundraiser this weekend.
Saturday, at Fireman’s Park in Industry off of Highway 159, the VFD will be serving fried chicken plates from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Assistant Fire Chief John Spiess says there will also be quite the assortment of activities this year.
There will be a silent auction during the meal, along with a ticket drawing featuring 29 prizes. There will also be a Jaws of Life demonstration starting at 6 p.m., with a transport helicopter scheduled to be on the park grounds. An outdoor live country auction starts at 7 p.m., under the pavilion.
Spiess says this celebration is one of the biggest sources of revenue for the department.
