VOLLEYBALL WORKOUTS BEGIN TODAY
Today is the opening day of practices for the 2018 Brenham Cubettes’ volleyball team.
Head Coach Debbie Yeager says they’re looking forward to kicking off the new season…
Yeager says the first week or so the team will be working on the basics…
The Cubettes will scrimmage Friday at Cy Falls and Saturday at Cinco Ranch.
Yeager says this newest edition of the Cubettes has an exciting group headed into the 2018 season…
The Cubettes’ season opener is next Tuesday, August 7th at home to Brazos Consolidated.
Meanwhile, the Burton Lady Panthers begin workouts under a new head coach today.
Former Lady Panther star Katie Kiecke takes over a program that reached the state semifinals last year, going 31-11.
It was just the second time in school history the team had been to state—Kiecke was a player on the first team that qualified, back in 2011.
The Lady Panthers return five members from that team—including All-District selections Kyndal Coufal and Sidney Smith.
The Lady Panthers will scrimmage at State Runner-up Iola, Friday morning; then open the season, Tuesday at Schulenburg.
