BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON ASSAULT CHARGE

A Brenham man has been charged with assaulting a family member.
22-year old William Mathis of Brenham was arrested just after 10:00 p.m., Wednesday.
Officers were called to the 700 block of Rebecca Circle in reference to a disturbance. Investigation revealed that Mathis was involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical.
Mathis was placed in custody for assault causing bodily injury to a family member. He was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
