BRENHAM PITMASTER COMPETING TONIGHT IN ‘CHOPPED GRILL MASTERS’ FINALS
Tonight (Tuesday), Brenham’s Leonard Botello IV will be competing for a $50,000 cash prize in the “Chopped Grill Masters” finals on the Food Network.
Botello defeated three other Texas pitmasters in last week’s competition, earning a spot in tonight’s finals against contestants from Kansas City, Memphis, and North Carolina.
The competition challenges chefs to use ingredients from “mystery baskets” to prepare dishes for judges.
Botello is the owner of Truth Barbeque in Brenham, on Highway 290 West.
The finale airs tonight at 8 p.m. on the Food Network.
