FAYETTE CO. FAIR BEGINNING THURSDAY
The Fayette County Fair is fixing to kick off tomorrow (Thursday) evening in La Grange.
Along with a full slate of entertainment throughout the weekend, the fair will also feature a carnival, cattle shows, numerous food and drink vendors, and wine tastings.
Fayette County Fair President Lee Fritsch says guests can expect a wide variety of activities to take part in.
Friday night, starting at 8 p.m., live “Lucha Libre” wrestling will take over the Marge Rosenberg Main Stage. Fritsch says the program should receive a warm reception, after its assistance during Hurricane Harvey last year.
There is also a new program this year called “Ag Adventures,” to teach kids the importance of agriculture.
Onsite parking at the fair will be $5, but Fritsch says the fair is now offering free charter bus rides from specific locations, that will take guests to and from the fair.
Season passes are $35, and are available online, at www.fayettecountyfair.org, or from any one of the fair queen candidates. Season passes will be sold until 6 p.m. today (Wednesday). There will also be day passes sold at the gate.
Be sure to look for KTEX-106’s Trail Boss Troy at the fair parade Saturday morning, and Cactus Ken Murray Saturday night. KTEX-106 is a proud sponsor of the Fayette County Fair.
